The NSW Health Clinical Information Access Program (CIAP) -- supports evidence-based practice at the point of care in NSW health facilities. The website is available to nurses, doctors, allied health, community health, ancillary and library staff working in the NSW public health system.

clicking on a search result takes you to a top guidance statement from
which you must drill down. The guidance statements and their specific recommendations
follow the clinical decision-making process, allowing you to find a clinically
relevant answer to your query.
Prodigy
-- a computer-based decision support tool for
GPs, has been developed to support clinical decision-making and provide
patients with clear and authoritative healthcare advice. (Free registration
ONLY works with IE Browser)
General Practice Notebook
- a UK medical encyclopaedia on the world wide web. The
system content is continually updated and expanded. The database now comprises
over 1.8 million words of information which is contained within 27,000 HTML
pages with over 30,000 index terms.
NeLH -- The National electronic Library for Health Programme is working with NHS Libraries to develop a digital library for NHS staff, patients and the public.
Bandolier Knowledge -- tries to collect good quality evidence under a variety of different headings. They search for systematic reviews of treatments, of evidence about diagnosis, epidemiology or health economics, and abstract it.
Diseases Database -- a cross-referenced index of human diseases, medications, symptoms, signs, abnormal investigation findings etc.
UpToDate -- contains over 40,000 pages of text, 10,000 graphics, 100,000 integrated MEDLINE abstracts, a complete drug information database, and a summary of the most important advances since the last release.
Praxis.md -- an online source for practical answers for patients and primary care practitioners (now part of Micromedex).
